It's common thought that hotel restaurant's are for guests only. However, that is certainly not the case with 'The Cafe' at the Hyatt. From the moment you arrive you will instantly be made to feel welcome by the warm and friendly staff that pride themselves on offering authentic hospitality.

As you'd expect with a hotel the restaurant caters to a wide variety of needs. We recommend stopping by for dinner. With the lighting lowered, the candles lit and such lovely servers the experience becomes just a little more special. The staff do a great job of determining the style of service you're looking for and are committed to catering to your every need.

The menu is based on a contemporary French/New Zealand style with a variety of authentic specials from around the globe. The open kitchen makes it easy to see the knowledge and respect for cooking from the chefs. Unique to 'The Cafe' is the 'Chefs Table' dining experience. Your group is seated on a stylish long wooden table and the chefs prepare a personalised 7 course menu for the group. You are provided with your very own chef who serves and explains each dish.

The wine list is largely New Zealand to compliment the chefs locally sourced ingredients. However, You can also find a nice selection of international labels as well. Starting your night with a personalised cocktail in the bar is a great way to start your evening.
